|GLEN THOMAS ART GALLERY|
Monument by Glen on display in THE CHURCH OF THE SERVANT in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
began drawing when he was four and does not show signs of
of this activity. He is a prolific artist, working
two and three dimensional media. His favorite subject is the
human portrait or figure and relishes the challenge of creating works
of art in oil, pencil, clay, and bronze. He often sculpts
(usually horses and dogs) for discerning collectors.
In addition to creating works of art, he is also a tireless art instructor and teaches several workshops each year in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico or Colorado.
He has studied with a number of nationally known artists including William Reese, Richard Greeves, Rosalind Cook, and Lincoln Fox.
Glen's paintings and sculptures are to be found in public and private collections across the U.S. from Main to Florida to Nevada. He is equally at home with the tabletop sculpture and the monument. He works in his studio in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
In addition to creating original art, Glen is active in a number of art organizations including the Oklahoma Sculpture Society, the Oklahoma Art Guild and the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition. He runs life drawing sessions for the OAG and is Program Chairperson for the OSS. He is also active as an instructor in drawing, sculpting, and painting for these organizations as well as the City Arts Center in Oklahoma City.
